Tumbao Bravo

Festival favorite Tumbao Bravo is an Ann Arbor Latin jazz combo that brings the rhythms of Cuba to life with congas, timbales, sax, flute, trumpet, keyboard, and bass.
Winner of the 2005, 2007, and 2013 Detroit Music Awards for Best Jazz Recording and Best World Music Band, Tumbao Bravo has performed at all the major Michigan jazz/music festivals and gets regular rotations on jazz stations nationally.
In 2012, famed Cuban percussionist Pepe Espinosa (Afro Cuban All Stars, ¡Cubanismo!) joined the band.
With warm, mellow instrumentals and complex percussion, this is danceable and perfect for a summer night.

While the bands do a changing of the guard, Dance Revolution will keep the party going with a fun salsa lesson. All ages and skill levels are welcome!
Dance Revolution is a community of people who love Latin music and dance… who strive to create a welcoming place where people can have fun, express themselves, connect with each other, and challenge themselves in a supportive environment.
They offer beginner lessons Wednesdays 8pm and Saturdays at 7pm at The Phoenix Center and host dance parties there the 1st and 3rd Saturdays of each month.

Los Gatos

maestro Pete Siers leads this vibe-influenced Latin jazz quintet through elegant boleros, upbeat pachangas, fiery mambos, relaxed cha cha chas, and exotic, 6/8 Afro-Cuban dance numbers.
Since they formed in 1997, this talented Ann Arbor group has embraced the “old-school” Latin jazz values set forth by
Cal Tjader,
Mongo Santamaria,
Tito Puente,
Joe Cuba.

Welcome back Los Gatos for a Latin dance party at Top of the Park!
